Who we are
Baraka Community Partnerships is a young, vibrant and small charity set up by a group of friends in 2007 and based in Surrey, England.
We are motivated by a desire to give a helping hand to people in developing countries who may not have the privileges or ‘Baraka’ (‘blessing’) we've enjoyed in the developed world.

All our administrative costs and wages are funded by private sponsors so that 100% of donations we receive go directly to our projects. We also welcome donations of time, skills and supplies.

We work in close collaboration with local communities and require they take ownership of each project by identifying priorities and contributing in some way.

We make the effort to build strong relationships with the people and communities we support in order to generate trust between both parties.

We do not believe in cash handouts, but rather helping communities achieve long-term self-sufficiency and sustainability through education, healthcare, support of small businesses, and environmental protection.
