The main focus of our operations in Zambia is to improve educational opportunities for Zambian children. We do this in four ways:

  • Free access to all children at our two Learning Centres

  • Two Safe Houses for vulnerable teenage girls

  • A pathway to a university degree via our sponsorship programme

  • Improvement of school infrastructure, water and educational resources

Demand for our support is huge, and we are unable to support all the schools that we would like to. However, with your support we can widen our net and allow more children to experience better learning environments.

Education Projects in Zambia

  • Kapiri Learning Centre

    Zambia

    The Baraka Learning Centre is based in a rural setting in the Central Province of Zambia, on the outskirts of Kapiri-Mposhi. The Learning Centre provides the support and educational resources to help over 100 schools, their teachers, and their pupils to achieve a higher level of academic success.

  • Maamba Learning Centre

    Zambia

    The Maamba Learning Centre is currently umder construction and will open in late 2026. Similarly to the Kapiri Learning Centre, all lessons and sessions are free of charge and for those schools that can't access the Learning Centre, we provide an outreach program that takes the Learning Centre to the schools.

  • Baraka Primary School

    Zambia

    Baraka Primary School is located in Kapiri-Mposhi and provides education to children in the area. Recent developments at the school include a library and a hygiene-friendly female toilet block to allow regular attendance.

  • Baraka Secondary School

    Zambia

    Currently under construction, the Baraka Secondary School is next to the Baraka Primary School and will provide crucial educational resources to youth in Kapiri-Mposhi.

  • Sponsorship Program

    Zambia

    This programme has given over 500 children the opportunity to have an education that they otherwise would not have had. Sponsoring a student with Baraka is simple. We are always in need of donors as we have so many students ready and waiting to embark on a university degree or Masters.

  • Supporting Rural Schools

    Zambia

    We like to get to know our schools to create partnerships with the communities. The vast majority of schools in rural Zambia have similar issues: poor infrastructure, insufficient access to water and clean toilets, insufficient educational supplies, and poor standards of teaching. We help by providing educational resources, building and renovating classrooms and teachers’ houses, toilet blocks, and helping to raise educational standards.
